Senior High Teen Summer Camps - at Lazy F!

Senior High Camp

July 18-23rd
Grades 9-12
Cost: $350.00/$395.00/$435.00

This may be the climax of many years of Lazy F camping or a chance to fit into a welcoming community of friends. This camp will also include a rafting trip on the mighty Yakima River, swimming at the Ellensburg pool, and involvement in the Team Challenge and Summit Adventures of our Challenge Course and our Branding Iron Tower.

Night Owl

July 12-16
Grades: 8-10
Cost: $280.00/$320.00/$360.00

Not a morning person? Not a problem! Stay up late, sleep in later, and find your way in the dark.  Each day the nights get longer and the morning get shorter.   At Night Owl you will experience team challenges and summit adventures on our challenge course, a midnight barbeque, and the famous sunrise service at the Cross.  Along the way, you might encounter a little mud, a refreshing swimming pool, and some fun adventures the staff throw in!

Senior High Adventure

July 25-30
Grades: 9-12
Cost: $385 / $435 / $485

The Wilderness can be a powerful experience, where one stares in awe at the beauty of God’s creations, and feels mystery, facination and tremendum.  There is no context better for making friends, and discovering about oneself and one’s faith.  Your group will base out of camp and along the way – backpack through the mountains, go whitewater rafting on the Wenatchee, and tackle camp’s challenge course. This camp will give you plenty of opportunities to focus on God’s word through nature and to make new friends. Our staff is trained in spiritual development in the outdoors and at least one staff member has completed a Wilderness First Aid course.  For this camp you will need your own frame backpack and the ability to hike up to 6 miles a day in a mountainous setting.

*note many high school students might combine Senior High camp with Senior Discovery so they can stay at camp even longer!

Wrangler Camps

At Wrangler Camp we will travel via bus to the Flying Horseshoe Ranch in Cle Elum on each full day you are at camp. There you will enjoy being responsible for your own horse, including grooming, bridling, saddling and, of course, riding. When not riding you might have the opportunity to go swimming in the pool or learn basic roping skills (on artificial targets). When your day is done at the Flying Horseshoe you will return to Lazy F for more camp fun. The Flying Horseshoe staff is very professional and understanding individuals with many years of experience teaching youth to ride horses. Check out more information on the Flying Horseshoe at www.flyinghorseshoeranch.com. Boots and Helmets are provided.

Mid High Wranglers
July 18-22
Grades 7-10 (limit 20 participants)
Cost: $475.00/$525.00/$575.00

Senior High Service

July 5th – 10th
August 1st – 6th
August 8
th – 13th
Grades 9-12
Cost: NA – must attend one paid session of camp.
For many campers who’ve grown up at Lazy F, camp has become like a second home.
Our Senior Service sessions give a two-fold experience: one where a teen can give back to camp and one where they can stay at camp longer.  Teens will engage in work projects around camp, help maintain it and help out in the dish room.  Along the way they’ll share in fellowship and devotions.  Until they can one day become a staff, they will be under the constant supervision of our LIT coordinators(s).  This is an awesome experience to log service hours, get experience and potentially recommendations for a first job, and give meaningful service to Lazy F.  You can download the separate application here.

Leaders In Training (LIT)

July 20th-25th
Grades 9
th-12th
Cost: 1
st year / $270; 2nd year $200; 3rd year $115; 4th year - $0

Our Leaders In Training program is designed to help teens develop their leadership skills, and then give them a chance to demonstrate them.  Teens will spend one week learning counselor skills, risk management, 1st aid / CPR, and camp skills.  They can then volunteer to assist with one week of our younger camper programs like Grand Camp, Mom and Sons / Daughters, and Explorers. 3rd and 4th year LIT’s may volunteer to assist those fore-mentioned camps, Pathfinders Adventure, and potentially Junior Wranglers.  We want LIT’s not to only come away with a camp experiences, but experiences that can help them in life, so a separate application with references, and interview are required before acceptance.
