Written by Olivia ‘Goose’ Grob: Lazy F Camp Summer 2019
Dear Future Camper,
I have been in your position many times before. I started being a camper when I was 5 and haven’t missed a year since. Whether this is your 10th year at Lazy F or first time, the butterflies and excitement of being at camp never goes away. I am so excited to meet you and all of your friends at camp! Over my many years as a camper and two years as a counselor, here are three essential pieces of advice:
1) Be yourself!
Camp is a place that fosters lifelong friendships and those grow best when you are genuinely yourself. Everyone has a story and camp is the perfect place to share yours.
2) Come in with an open mind!
Camp offers so many unique experiences and sometimes that calls for you to be a little bit silly. Embrace every new experience and do your best to participate. You’ll be surprised by how much fun you can have
3) Bring enough socks!!
While your mom may nag you about having enough socks, having clean socks is essential to camp life.
I’m so excited to meet you all at the happiest place on Earth, Lazy F!
