*All NEW Camp*
Dates: July 1st - July 4th 2012In the backwoods, campers spend a week in a small, tight-knit, community of friends. Campers are joined together by their experience at our Tee Pee Village where they will learn to cook their own food, develop basic wilderness skills, and share in faith and fellowship. Along the way, campers have a chance to venture on our climbing tower, hike trails throughout the canyon and build on new and returning friendships. Once a day campers come back into camp to share a meal and join in all-camp events.
The Layout of Backwoods is Designed to
Meet 5 Goals:
·
To share in a fun, unifying faith curriculum
(Chapel, part of vespers, part of afternoon activities)
·
To have time for each camper to be able to share things with their cabin
and feel they are individually valued and important
(Evening Vespers - the whole day too - but specifically vespers)
·
To have an opportunity for your camper to choose an element of what they
will be doing and mingle with other kids their own age with similar
interests
(Morning Electives)
·
To have time for each cabin group to come together as friends
(Afternoon Cabin Time)
·
To have time for all the kids in the session to come together as a
community and have fun
(Evening Program)
