Cora Beeman

Summer Camp Coordinator

Hi! My name is Cora Beeman and I am super excited to be serving as the Summer Camp Coordinator at Lazy F this summer! I'm from Bellevue, Washington but in the fall I'll be starting my senior year at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon (go Bruins!) pursuing a major in Theatre and and a minor in Christian Ministries. Here's a fun fact for ya: I have played upright bass for almost seven years now, playing in orchestra and jazz choir in high school and now jazz band in college and I love it, it is ridiculously fun to play an instrument that is bigger than I am! I am stoked to be spending my summer at Lazy F - I was a camper here every summer and winter from 2009 until 2015, going to every summer and family camp I possibly could - so, it is truly wonderful to be back. I can't wait to get all of the staff here in less than a month and watch their experiences with camp, the campers, and with God and share in all of that with them. It's going to be an incredible summer!!
Brianna Smith

Assistant Camp Coordinator

Hi!! I’m Brianna Smith and I am so excited and blessed to be working as the Assistant Program Coordinator this summer at Lazy F! I’m from Yakima, Washington and I will be starting my sophomore year at Gonzaga University (Go Zags!) in the fall. I am a Political Science and Sociology double major. My parents are both pastors in the United Methodist Church and I have been going to camp here at Lazy F and around the Pacific Northwest since before I can even remember. Fun fact, I absolutely love to travel and tent camp in our National Parks, and I love to do the junior ranger programs! I’m so pumped and excited to spend my summer here and I cannot wait to see God working through Lazy F with the staff, volunteers, and our campers!
Jessica Lewis

Activities Coordinator

Hello! My name is Jessica Lewis, also known as Crescendo (my camp name). This is my second year working at Lazy F Camp. I am from Auburn, WA and currently spend most of my time in Ellensburg, WA. I am a current student at Central Washington University working on completing my Music Education degree and my English Education degree. My hobbies include playing piano, violin, and cello. I also love to read, hike and spend time with family. A fun fact about me is that I have played, with the CWU orchestra, in the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. It was an exciting and inspiring experience. I am looking forward to camp this summer (been excited for weeks). I am thrilled to be working at camp again this summer, to see old friends and make new friends. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for the camp season! (In the picture below I am in the bright green shirt, my friend Blue Bird is in the other green shirt )

Camp Nurse

Hi! My name is Epi. (Im the one on the left) I've been the summer camp nurse at Lazy F since 2010. In the off season I am a school nurse. I take care of two schools, with ages ranging from 3 to 19. In my limited free time I like to make crafts, cook and bake. My favorite thing to make is something to share. The reason I love camp is that you get to be yourself, your best self, in a community that helps remind you on your bad days how loved you are. My hope for the summer is that we all learn the lesson I've been struggling to learn this year, that we are not perfect, we are human, with all the highs and lows, joys and sorrows, mistakes and successes that come with being human.
Henry Wegener

Camp Counselor

Howdy, folks! Name’s Henry Wegener. I live a few hours across the mountains from Ellensburg in Centralia, Washington. You’ll find me downtown most days working for a wonderful family-run dessert/sandwich shop, Dawn’s Delectables. I’m not in school right now but am thinking about taking some classes at Centralia College. You may remember me as Voiceover if you were at camp in 2017. After just graduating high school (I was a homeschool student all my life) and with only one Senior High camp experience under my belt, I decided to spend the summer serving as a counselor. “Hmm... Can I pull off this counselor business alright?”, I wondered. The answer quickly proved to be a yes (take that, doubts!) as I discovered Lazy F to be my dream job. Camping all summer long, meeting awesome people, personal growth experiences, getting to put my gifts to use – to say nothing of the whipped cream/banana/armpit thing... Never mind, moving on! Fun fact about me? I play ragtime/jazz piano whenever the opportunity presents itself. I’m involved with community theater, an assistant leader in our church youth group, perform church puppet shows, make short films, do video editing/graphic design, voice impersonations, birding, and even... singing fish repair. I am SUPER EXCITED to see what this summer has in store for us, the 2018 Lazy F team! What is there not to look forward to?! Oh, maybe rigging up the hoses...
Olivia Grobb

Camp Counselor

Hello, my name is Olivia Grob and I haven't chosen my camp name yet. I'm from Bonney Lake Washington which is about an hour South of Seattle. I currently am a senior at Bonney Lake High School and will be attending Gonzaga University in the Fall. I have not decided my major yet, but I am thinking about going into education or speech pathology. I am involved in my school's student government, a group that welcomes freshman into the school, and National Honors Society. I play soccer, basketball, and tennis for my school and went to state this year in soccer and tennis. I enjoy playing the piano and love the outdoors. A fun fact about me is that I started going to camp when I was four and this will be the 15th Summer in a row that I have been to Lazy F and my first Summer as a camp counselor. I am so excited to be working at Lazy F this Summer after all the years I have spent looking up to the counselors I've had as a camper. I feel this Summer will be a great opportunity for me to grow in my own faith, make new friendships and strengthen old ones, and to make Lazy F the home for campers that it has become for me.
Brooke Gladsjo

Camp Counselor

Hi! My name is Brooke Gladsjo and I'm super pumped to be a camp counselor this summer! I grew up in Wenatchee, Washington and I graduated from Wenatchee High School last spring. I moved to Pasco in the fall to attend Columbia Basin College, and after CBC, I plan to attend Central Washington University and major in Elementary Education. I enjoy travelling, meeting new people, superhero movies, watching football, and hanging out with my dogs. A fun fact about me is that I've been a huge Taylor Swift fan for over a decade and I've been to four of her shows! I'm really excited to work at camp this summer because I've been going to Lazy F as long as I can remember and it's always been a dream of mine to be a counselor at my favorite place on Earth. I'm also really excited to meet new people and share the love of God while working with kids! I've always loved camp because you make lifelong friends and it ends up being the best week of the summer.
Katie Larsen

Camp Counselor

I'm Kathryn Larsen (but I mostly go by Katie). I'm a sophomore at Northwest University and I'm majoring in psychology. I love acting and have been doing drama since high school and most recently did You're a Good Man Charlie Brown at college. A fun fact about me is that I choose my own name, well kind of. My parents were planning on naming me Kathryn but right after I was born my grandma suggested I be named Kathleen after my great aunt and my mom liked it and my dad held his tongue. Both my parents ended up hating it later and when I was young would call me mostly Katie but would also call Kathleen and Kathryn. My mom asked me when I was young which I liked better and I liked Kathryn better and we officially changed it right before I went to high school. I'm excited for this summer because I've gone to camp for many years and always thought that being a counselor would be fun and rewarding!
