Brianna Smith

Summer Camp Coordinator

Hi everyone my name is Brianna Smith! I go by Happy feet at camp and I have been studying abroad here in London this Spring semester. I normally attend Gonzaga University and I am majoring in Political Science and Sociology. I am thrilled to be back at camp for a 2nd summer on staff!! I absolutely love hiking, swimming, and TRAVELING.  I’ve been coming to Lazy F since I was a camper and I’m so excited to experience camp this year!! See you all at camp this summer!

Jessica Lewis

Assistant Summer Camp Coordinator

Hello camp family and future campers! My name is Jessica Lewis, aka Crescendo, and I am back for my third summer at Lazy F! I am super excited for summer 2019 and have been eagerly planning for many amazing things for this year at camp! I am currently in my last year at Central Washington University and will graduate with my bachelor degrees in Music education and English Language Arts/Literature education this summer. An interesting fact about me is I can play at least 25 different instruments, but my favorite instruments to play are cello and piano.
I have been working at Lazy F Camp and Retreat center as a summer counselor, activities coordinator and then in the other parts of the year as a retreat host and support staff. Lazy F Camp and Retreat center is a fantastic place to be, especially at summer camp. The camp provides a camping experience in a fun, positive, encouraging and supportive environment that gives campers a safe haven to be themselves and experience the outdoors with friends. Some of the activities that we do in the summer include: challenge course, Lazy F 500, Messy Olympics, Water Olympics, Capture-the-flag, hikes, craft cabin, archery and much more! I am excited to be back at camp this summer and can’t wait to see what God has planned!
(P.S. The picture above, I am in the center!)

Hayley Galla

Activities Coordinator

G’day all the way from Sydney, Australia! My name is Hayley Galla. I am thrilled to be joining the team this year at Lazy F! Some of my passions include performing arts, drama, acting, music and I love working with kids of all ages. Currently I run a children’s playcentre in Australia and spend my spare time exploring new adventures! I am keen to skip winter back home and have fun in the sun all summer. I’m really looking forward to meeting you all, to explore our wonderful faith together, make life long friends and with God’s love have the best summer of our lives! Bring it on!

Nathaniel Lackey

Media Manager

Hey! I’m Nathaniel Lackey, but this summer you’ll know me as Flash! I’m from Covington, WA and this coming fall I’ll be starting my Sophomore year at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. There I’ll be double majoring in Business and Economics while also considering a third major; Religion. Outside of school I spend lots of time learning new instruments, hammocking, or going for a swim! At camp I’m sure to be having fun joining hikes, meeting other campers, going on a run, or most likely; taking pictures and videos of all of you as the new Lazy F Media Manager!! Well I’ve got some work to do at camp, see you there soon!

Erin Ferguson

Camp Nurse

Hi! My name is Epi. I've been the summer camp nurse at Lazy F since 2010. In the off season I am a school nurse. I take care of two schools, with ages ranging from 3 to 19. In my limited free time I like to make crafts, cook and bake. My favorite thing to make is something that I can share. The reason I love camp is that you get to be yourself, your best self, in a community that helps remind you on your bad days how loved you are. My hope for the summer is that we learn some of the many aspects of becoming peace makers in this world, that peace is not a destination but a process, and how to take care of ourselves when we engage in this challenging work.
Ariel Bender

Camp Registrar

Hey, hey, hey! My name is Ariel Bender and I am the Camp Registrar here at Lazy F! As Camp Registrar I process registrations, payments, and help to answer questions. You will also see me on check-in day! A little about me. I'm from the “westside” of Washington, having lived all up and down the Puget Sound. Currently, I’m a student at Central Washington University working on my Bachelors in Event Management. After I graduate I plan to pursue a career in youth and young adult ministry. I’m passionate about this kind of ministry because I believe that we need to lift up our young people and not just listen to but hear what they have to say. The young people are the ones who will inherit the church and it is SO important for us to build a foundation of success for them. That is why I love our camps (partial to Lazy F of course!) because it’s a great way for young people to experience God in a different way, growing their faith through worship, witness, and PLAY!!
Olivia Grob
