Explorers is geared towards our younger summer campers looking for plenty of adventure. Whether it's your child's first time away at summer camp or third - campers will enjoy an exciting combination of the best of classic camp activities and new creative challenges in a safe and nurturing environment. Campers will have opportunities to go hiking, get creative in the craft cabin, do archery, go climbing on our tower, take part in water activities, enjoy team competitions, learn wilderness skills and many more adventurous things!
June 30 - July 3, 2013
In the backwoods, campers spend a
week in a small, tight-knit community of friends.
Campers are joined together by their experience at our Tee Pee
Village where they will learn to cook their own food, develop basic
wilderness skills, and share in faith and fellowship.
Along the way, campers have a chance to venture on our climbing
tower, hike trails throughout the canyon and build on new and returning
friendships. Once a day
campers come back into camp to share a meal and join in all-camp events.
During days at
Wrangler Camp, we will travel by
bus to the Flying Horseshoe Ranch in Cle Elum. There you will enjoy being
responsible for your own horse,
including
grooming, bridling, saddling and,
of course, riding. When not riding you
will have the opportunity to go swimming in the pool or maybe learn
basic roping skills. The Flying Horseshoe staff are very professional
and understanding individuals with many years
of experience teaching youth to ride horses. Check out more
information on the Flying Horseshoe at
www.flyinghorseshoeranch.com.
Boots and Helmets are provided.
